Because you guys are awesome. The family is doing great however this post is about you, my friends, family, and random readers. We have received an outpouring of support these past few weeks and it is nothing short of amazing. It feels good to be loved and to have people care so much about your little corner of the universe. It was pointed out to me by my best friend Chris that people care not because they have to but because they want to. That people want to be connected through experiences similar or not and that emotions and feelings are common amongst all. So thanks again and perhaps you can pass a bit of that love on to the next person who needs a little boost with a smile, hello, or attaboy. I know I sure will.

I just watched this for the first time in a long while. In this emotional and moving period in my life it is nice to reconnect with our universal reality. Enjoy.

Hello again. The sever has been powered off for the last 7 days during my recent move to Milford, MA. My wife and I purchased our first home and we are very happy. Frankly I could have turned the server on a week ago with only a few hours of downtime, but I have been so busy I just let it sit in the basement amongst the hundreds of boxes and toys in the playroom.

OK, so short but sweet. The next big event is twins in 2 weeks! Yep, thats just two weeks away. I will post again as soon as I get a moment to breathe.

I just realized that I have now been working 3 years 9 months with The MathWorks. Why is that significant? Well that is one month more than I was a teacher…

_G104435I don’t think the word cold quite cuts it here. It was downright frigid. We all had a great time celebrating this annual tradition of freezing our butts off. There are 123 pictures waiting in the gallery to entertain and amaze. Frankly I am surprised my camera even worked in the -20 wind chills. Well actually sometimes the photos came out not as I had imagined, but they are there. So enjoy :)

How to Afford Anything

People ask me how I afford all this camera stuff. Easy: I beg, borrow, and sometimes even buy it. I certainly don’t still own everything I’ve reviewed here since 1999. I’ve also had real jobs for many years which pays for what I do buy, and I live like a hermit otherwise.

Ken Rockwell is a photographer and his site is one that I visit often. I came across this and just had to share it. If you have a moment read the article, I think most people will enjoy it very much (and perhaps feel a bit embarrassed you haven’t followed that advice in the past).

Life is cruising by fast. Its almost Christmas time, my kids are growing up too fast, and I’m getting old. Its all been said before but I don’t care, I am saying it again. I just wanted to post because its been a while and I have been neglecting the site a bit. I have repaired the caching mechanism and tweaked apache a bit so the site should load 30% – 40% faster now which is nice.

I also just came back from a snowy trip to Rochester for Carrie’s grandmother’s funeral. Although funerals are a sad time they are also a good time to learn and celebrate as much as you can about someones life. I feel I did that and heard some fantastic stories and experiences from relatives.

I am looking forward to our next trip down to Virginia Beach for Christmas where we will be visiting Carrie’s mom. Expect some pictures soon, I have many, and take that moment to look around…believe it or not thousands of worlds are passing you by right now, sensing just a few of those at any given moment is an experience you should not pass up. There is more to life than you and we sometimes forget that.

Timothy Leary’s Message to You, Here, Now.

I’d just like to see thinking come back in style. I haven’t heard a new idea in eight years. Let’s get ordinary people arguing and talking again. I want to trigger new circuits in their nervous systems. That’s the philosopher’s job and I am the most important philosopher at this time.

Ahh Tim, the quintisential freaker and anti-all. Sure knew what and when to say the right thing though.

It just felt like it was time to change the theme of the site, something more clean and inviting. So, welcome, again…
