Jason Kuter, Internal Infrastructure Hosting Architect at MathWorks and Mendon Select Board member

Jason Kuter

I find the path and bring people along: in emerging tech, town government, and the outdoors.

I walk through the woods, work on what AI means for a team at MathWorks, and help navigate the budget on the Mendon Select Board. The thread that runs through all of it is the same: find a path, bring people along, and leave things better than you found them.

At home, I'm a husband and a dad to four kids, plus a dog who keeps everyone on their toes.

What I believe

A lifetime in Scouting taught me that the right trail isn't always the easy one, and that the people who find it together are changed by the journey.

Technology only creates value when people trust it. My job is to close the gap between what's possible and what's actually useful.

You don't have to choose between doing meaningful work and being home for dinner. I've spent my career proving that my family deserves the best version of me, not the busiest one.

How I Think

  • Finding the signal in emerging tech
  • Leading people through uncertainty
  • Building teams that stay
  • Making complex ideas land simply

Community Roots

  • Scouting since 1986 — Eagle Scout (1992); former Cubmaster & Scoutmaster
  • Local youth sports leader — wrestling, lacrosse, and soccer
  • Preserving Mendon's rural character
  • Public safety & responsible growth
